Syosset High School’s Future Leaders of America Club hosted their popular Senior Citizen Prom in the school’s main gymnasium, welcoming approximately 150 guests from the Woodbury-Syosset community, including more than 50 residents from the Cold Spring Hills Center for Health and Rehabilitation.
Syosset High School’s Jazz Band provided live entertainment, with swing, line and other styles of dance taking place throughout the day. Students served their guests lunch and dessert. This year’s theme was “The Wizard of Oz,” with the gymnasium decorated with yellow-brick roads, rainbows and inflatable flying monkeys as FLAC members adorned ‘wicked witch’ hats in the spirit of the day. Some of the guests even wore Dorothy’s signature ruby slippers as they strutted on the dance floor. There was also an exhibit of student artwork for viewing.
