Syosset High School will host multiple activities in celebration of Homecoming 2016.
Kicking off the festivities, the school will host its annual Student Government Carnival on Friday, Oct. 14 – Sunday, Oct. 16. Student clubs will operate stations and conduct demonstrations, and there will be rides and games on the high school front lawn. Carnival times are: Oct. 14: 5-11 p.m.; Oct 15: 12-11 p.m.; and Oct. 16: 12-5 p.m. The carnival is open to the Syosset community.
The annual homecoming varsity football game will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22 as Syosset hosts Hicksville. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m., with cheerleaders, the marching band and kickline scheduled to perform at halftime. The community is encouraged to attend and cheer for the hometown Braves!
Leading up to the big game, Syosset High School students and staff will celebrate Spirit Week, which will include daily school pride themes for students to dress to, a schoolwide walkathon for charity, a health and wellness fair, and the annual pep rally to introduce all of the fall athletic teams, culminating with a grand entrance by the varsity football squad.
