South Woods Middle School students recently participated in a science fair held at St. Anthony’s High School in Huntington. Seventh-grade South Woods students who presented were Claudia Azevedo, Luc Epstein, Sydney Gurewicz, Akitora Iyoda, Jade Maracic, Amanda Quian, Maiya Raghu, Alexa Trapani, Gabrielle Unson, Emma Van Dorn, Lara Weinberg, Stephanie Yormack and the eighth grade students were Aren Cizmecioglu, Victoria Guo and Merin Thomas. Adviser Linda Stollow also attended.
Some of the topics researched were: Can We Match Voices to Faces of Strangers?; Typography and its Influence on Preference and Memory; How Fast Can You Talk with Accuracy?; and How Do Boys and Girls Perceive Optical Illusions?
Students will learn the results of the competition shortly.
